কুড়িগ্রামের ফুলবাড়ীতে গলায় ফাঁস দিয়ে মজনু মিয়া(২৪) নামে এক যুবক আত্মহত্যা করেছেন।নিহত মজনু উপজেলার কুরুষা ফেরুষা গ্রামের উকিল মিয়ার পুত্র। জানা গেছে,বুধবার রাতে মজনু মিয়া তার স্ত্রীকে মারধর করেন। বিষয়টি মজনুর শশুর বাড়ীর লোকজন জানতে পেয়ে বৃহস্পতিবার দুপুরে মজনুর শাশুড়ী এসে তার মেয়েকে নিয়ে যায়।পরে বিকেলে মজনু বাড়ী ফিরে স্ত্রী চলে যাওয়ার কথা শুনতে পায়। এসময় সকলের অজান্তে নিজ ঘরে বাশের আড়ের সাথে গলায় ফাঁস দিয়ে আত্মহত্যা করে সে। পরে পরিবারের লোকজন তার কোন সাড়াশব্দ না পেয়ে ঘরের দরজা ভেঙে তার ঝুলন্ত লাশ দেখতে পায়।পরে স্থানীয়রদের খবর পেয়ে পুলিশ ঘটনাস্থল থেকে লাশ উদ্ধার করে।এলাকাবাসীর অভিযোগ মজনু মিয়া নেশাগ্রস্থ ছিলেন। এব্যাপারে ফুলবাড়ী থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ(ওসি) রাজীব কুমার রায় ঘটনার সত্যতা নিশ্চিত করেছেন।
